1. What’s in the Box

When you open your GUST balance bike box, you should see all components clearly separated.

All balance bike components included in the box before assembly – frame, wheels, fork, seat, handlebars and fittings.

Included:

  • Main frame
  • Front fork
  • Front wheel
  • Rear wheel
  • Handlebar
  • Seat with seat post
  • Bearings and spacer rings
  • Axle nuts and bolts
  • Rubber grips

Before starting assembly, lay everything out clearly as shown above.

2. Tools Required

  • 13mm spanner or socket wrench
  • Allen key (if supplied)
  • Soft hammer (optional)

Tip: A socket wrench provides stronger tightening than a small adjustable spanner.

3. Install the Front Fork

  1. Insert the front fork into the head tube (front round opening of the frame).
  2. Place the lower bearing into the bottom of the head tube.
  3. Add the upper bearing and spacer rings on top.
  4. Slide the fork fully through.
  5. Tighten the top bolt securely.

The fork must turn smoothly but should not wobble. If loose, tighten slightly more.

Step 4 – Install the Rear Wheel

  1. Insert the rear wheel into the rear frame dropouts.
  2. Ensure it is centred properly.
  3. Tighten both axle nuts firmly.

The rear wheel must spin freely without side movement.

Step 5 – Install the Seat

Step 5 of balance bike assembly – install the seat, adjust height so feet are flat on the ground, and tighten securely.
  1. Insert the seat post into the seat tube.
  2. Adjust to correct height (child’s feet flat on ground).
  3. Ensure the minimum insertion line is not visible.
  4. Tighten the seat clamp securely.

Correct seat height is crucial for balance learning.
